I read a lot. And I'm pretty omnivorous when it comes to books. So to give you an idea what my reading list is like here is what I read so far this year in the order of reading:
1. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
2. The Girl Who Played with Fire
3. The Historian
4. The Name of the Wind
5. The Girl That Kicked the Hornet's Nest
6. The Lost Hero
7. Awakened (I do not recommend this book unless you are already reading the series)
8. Snow Crash
I will try to maintain this lost through the year, more for my own benefit than for the poor souls' who manage to land on this page. I'm sure you have your own favorites this year, but if you haven't yet read the Millennium trilogy by Stieg Larsson - I highly recommend it.
